The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

How are you doing Sean?
How are you able to look after Layla right now?
That's another sad story. The day after my fall, I let her out, like I do everyday to run around get her exercise. While feeding my birds, I turned around and couldn't find her. She usually is right by my side. I looked and called all over for her but to no avail.
She was starting to eat browse, weeds, etc...so I hope she makes it....I've looked and called several times a day since but still no Layla...I just wanted to cry and did...I hate the thought that I'm responsible for her disappearance....just so sad. :(

Crazy night in the coops at the farmer-brown homestead.
7 week old moved in with the grownups . The 3-4 week old moved into their cool new teenage pad. The 2 chanteclers that have been in quarantine for several months now have been separated... the hen went in with the other chanteclers and the roo went in with the buckeyes. The buckeye roo is in a time out in the quarantine pen. He's bitten me the past 2 days. He's gotten way too protective of his girls.

I wouldn't say you're responsible for her disappearance. I'd say you're responsible for her surviving! It was probably just time, and she knew she could make it on her own now. Don't be surprised if she comes to visit from time to time.
:hugs
Well being on crutches I couldn't search my entire property, so yeah, I'm still responsible!

Sean, I agree with the Farmer's Daughter, she got her confidence and decided to leave home. :hugs
Idk, I'm just really upset and sad at the same time, feel like I let her down. Didn't protect her well enough. Haven't seen any buzzards around so maybe she's still alive. :fl
