The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's another sad story. The day after my fall, I let her out, like I do everyday to run around get her exercise. While feeding my birds, I turned around and couldn't find her. She usually is right by my side. I looked and called all over for her but to no avail.
She was starting to eat browse, weeds, etc...so I hope she makes it....I've looked and called several times a day since but still no Layla...I just wanted to cry and did...I hate the thought that I'm responsible for her disappearance....just so sad. :(
On no! Maybe she will come back.

Bruce, I'm sorry about Samantha! I remember you talking about her several times.

Sean, sending every good thought I can muster your way today!

Not much to report here. (For a change!) Took Fee to the vet. She's fine - just a tummy bug. Put her in the car to come home and she decided she was going to be in the front seat. Tried for force her back by kneeling on my seat, pushing her shoulder with my left hand and hooking my hand in her collar to force her head away from the headrest. She twisted and man, is she strong! Ripped my thumb wide open with the buckle of her collar. The vet was very nice about treating my thumb - guess she didn't want me bleeding out on her floor. Like I said on FB - it was kinda like the old days as a vet tech. First you help the vet treat the critter, then the vet treats your injuries from helping with said critter.

So far no word from Camp, so Kendra must be doing fine. They had a nasty thunderstorm up there yesterday evening. but they have all kinds of contingencies for that sort of thing happening. They have a huge bank of generators because some of the kids require oxygen concentrators at night, and others have C-Paps and such, plus suction, so that power up there is critical. And of course it's a little hard to take care of someone's disabled child if you can't even see the child, right? I keep checking their FB page to see if there are any pictures posted yet, but haven't seen any.

Today is the day all the Masons are meeting at Tam's to get her stuff moved out and into the storage unit. She'll be staying here starting tonight, and we leave for Salt Lake early Thursday morning. So as soon as Ken finishes his bowl of Wheaties we are heading over there. This is gonna be one LOOONGG day.
