Morning all:frow

got my first picking of yellow beans this morning, now have to figure out how i want to cook them, i prefer green but have yellow right now. been getting a few tomato's here and there, but not enough to satisfy me, love tomato's, getting alot of cucumbers too, okra is coming on, being a southern girl thats another veggie i love cooked in a pot of southern peas, come to think of it, not too many foods i don't like except sushi, never tried it but i'm not going to eat raw fish or insects

When I moved to Japan my motto was "I don't eat bait"... Until one day we were on a field trip with a Japanese school and the hotel owner brought in a boat load of sushi... I caved and avoided the "ugly american" theme and am so glad I did... Love it!

i just have a mind block about eating raw fish, i was born and raised in the panhandle of florida. now i will eat a raw oyster, love those but my daddy raked those and he ate them, whatever my parents provided, i ate but no way would we eat raw fish or any red meat (also love grits lol)

rjohns 39, how are the tomatillos coming ,it was you that had them started wasn't it? wondering because i had bought some what was suppose to be ghost pepper seeds from ebay, only had one come up , been pampering it til it finally bloomed but never saw a pepper plant have blooms like these, now where the blooms were are these little green lantern-like things, so unless these are tomatillos i have no idea what they are, guess i will wait and see

momma used to fry eggs over easy, we added them to the top of grits, broke the yokes and mixed everything together and had them with one or two of momma's biscuits along with some kind of meat, lord i miss my mommas cooking or sometimes i just had butter and grits with the biscuits or gravy

One of my favorite breakfasts is when DH makes grit bowls...grits topped with egg, sausage or bacon and shredded cheese. YUM!

No one ever cooks as good as those we've loved and lost @sharron :hugs
