They can be pretty gross when they aren't the first one too!It is also quite scary the first time you see a cat cough up a fur ball...and gross....

Can't be. They are not cooked and vacuum packed like the "dry shelf" pickles so they need to be refrigerated. I think that is why they can retain their "crunch".Thanks! I'll check there. Cause they weren't on the dry shelves
