The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Nickelback always say they're from Hanna alberta. Mind you, the closest city is about 4 hours from there (Calgary).

Is Hanna a small town? That's cool they say that :)

I think it depends on the band. Some bands say their actual town, some say big cities, some say where all the members are from. I follow a lot of smaller ones and sometimes they'll just say Chicago, Pittsburgh, etc. The ones from around here usually say the state or town because most New Englanders know most of the places around here even in the other states but touring ones usually say a bigger city. Then there are my friends who at the Warped Tour date right after mine evidently said "We're a band called Chicago from Sleep On It" :lau

Granted, they were in the middle of a 20 day stretch with no days off. Tomorrow they finally have an off day.

So they're tired. But still funny.

Their name is Sleep On It, btw. In case that wasn't obvious.

Medications can also cause cataracts, as can certain health conditions. I had cataract surgery in my 60's. My father didn't have cataracts till he was close to 80. I also had one near vision eye and one far. Found out so did my mother.

When I had cataract surgery I said I wanted to keep that. Dr. screwed it up and lens changed my far eye to close vision. and My near eye to far. After having certain vision in the individual eyes for 60 years I grew very accustomed to it. When he changed things around caused me great difficulty.

I bet it did :( hopefully you adapted?

Yep. And I suppose they told you it takes longer with adults than it does with kids. We, and our teeth, are set in our ways.

:tongue

It is called BREAKING binocular vision. I have lived my entire life (so far) without being able to focus with both eyes at the same time. That means no depth perception. I see no reason to break people who have normal vision. Normal vision is the brain taking input from both eyes and overlaying them to make a single IN FOCUS picture. And because the images are from slightly different angles, you get depth perception. Kinda hard to do that with one eye focused on something near and the other seeing it blurry because that eye is "set" to distance. The only way to "fix" it is for your brain to ignore the input from the "fuzzy" eye. Again I say :tongue

Um, you didn't check in for one day? Sorry for all the illness and Dh's accident :(

Say, can you pop up to Oz and see what Teila is doing, haven't heard from her for a long time. Getting kinda worried.
What happens that your eyes are that way? He said 1.5-2 years which is normal. My teeth aren’t horrible. They used to be perfectly straight and tight but started shifting about 9 years ago. This picture was last summer...nephew was being a pill or his mother would not have gotten this picture with my mouth so wide open. My mouth is always flapping but not smiling:D
