The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Finally a breather!!! Ain’t gonna last long, but I expected this week to be going at full tilt, and it’s going faster than I ever anticipated. Today was a clothes trying and rejecting marathon. My stuff is all ready to go, but Jen left everything to the last minute, can’t find the formal clothes that Katie took on the cruise, and I was NOT going to Billings again today. So they brought over all of the possibilities and we tried everything one outfit at a time. Finally weeded it down to a take pile and a reject pile. It’s so hard because Katie is just so terribly overweight and nothing really fits. Add asymmetrical hips and a missing rib and it was an exercise in futility. But we managed. Then I had to wash them all. I packed them in the garment bags with my things, otherwise Jenny would just ball them up and stuff them in a suitcase.

I don’t expect I’ll be on much for the next week or so, although I will, as always, sneak in when I can and try to keep up with your lives. Love you all.....
:hugs

We husked all this plus 3 tidy cat buckets full. I didn’t get done cleaning my kitchen until 11:00 as I wasn’t leaving that sticky mess for the morning. I bagged 36-2 cup bags and have 2 large roasters to bag yet. I couldn’t do anymore last night. My back is wanting to go out so must have tweeked it picking it, might be a long cleaning day today.

No thanks...I have readers from the Dollar store (cost = $1)

Knocked the chimney out of the house today in preparation for the big move! They'll be loading it up on Monday and moving it first thing on Tuesday. A friend of ours gave us an idea for a way to get our building permit. Since we can't afford to put the addition on right now, but there is going to be a pad built there, we're just going to classify it as a deck for now.

The house in the city sale closes next Friday.

I hope you'll take photos of the house move. Tuesday is right around the corner!

Very excited, i caught the lop rabbit that escaped on Saturday! I thought i would never see him again. He is very cuddly and will make a great pet for some child. I hated to think of him eaten by coyotes!

Glad you caught your escapee Cap!

We are almost finished here and it's good timing as there are finally a few new properties starting to be listed in the areas we are looking in.

Guess who is sick now?! Hopefully I'll be OK for Saturday to make that cake. I baked the cakes yesterday and froze them because I felt a bit chesty yesterday and thought I'd make hay while the sun was shining. Glad I did as I'm very tired and achy today. DS is better but still coughing. I dragged myself out to check the birds earlier then had to debate whether I'd make it up the steps to the back door or whether it would be worth the effort to shuffle around to the front of the house and go in the front door where it's just a flat walk in.

Keep us posted on the house hunting Jae, best of luck finding what you want! Hope you're feeling better soon :hugs

We'll take you when we can get you B!
