Good morning everyone.

Hay all cut and baled. 225 bales in total.

Don't know if you can tell from the pic, but it's also pretty smoky around here. Haven't heard much about fires in BC this year, but there's obviously some pretty bad ones for us to be getting this much smoke.

Spent most of yesterday weed eating trying to clear a path for the house's arrival on Tuesday.

Weather is being totally weird... the past couple of days it's been super hot (34c, low 90s). Tomorrow's high is predicted to reach 12c (53f).

Hope everyone gets some relaxation time as well as everything planned to get done this weekend.
The canadian smoke is here too.

Been picking tomatoes for a month or so . Yesterday I picked the first 'Mortgage Lifters'. Has to be the best tasting tomato variety ever.

Never had that one. The Brandywines finally started ripening this month and they are soo delicious lol not much fruit on the plant though :/ but the ones that did grow are hugeeee and delicious. Also have Genuwine which is a cross between Brandywine and Costoluto Genovese and supposed to ripen 2 weeks before the parents which I think it did but I don't particularly like them much. I mean, they're pretty good but just a little mushy/mealy/weird texture is all but they're pretty good. They're also pretty small though. Those 4 (2 Brandywine, 2 GenuWine) are in pots, have like 11 other plants lol planted Better Boy, Cherry, Black Krim, etc. Only problem is I forget which variety is which lol guess we'll find out. But none of those are ripe yet. And I think we have one Big Boy or some other "boy" variety, maybe best boy? That's the only one that's labeled so gotta go read the label.

Wow, that is a thick smoke overcast. It's been a long time since I've seen smoke that bad here, use to get smoke every year coming up from Mexico, slash and burn techniques really played havoc on our air quality throughout Texas.
BTW, how big is that hay patch? That's a lot of hay considering most round bales contain 25 or so conventional square bales.
Approx 60 acres.
The pic didn't do the amount of smoke justice. It looks about 1/4 as bad as it actually was yesterday. The haze is still here today, but the smoke isn't suspended in the air like it was yesterday.
Here's last night's sunset. Everything had an eerie orange glow.

It’s almost like an eclipse.
