I like the smell of a wood fire. When we had our tea & spice shop, one of the teas (Lapsang Souchong) had that smokey smell...always reminded me of cooking out over an open fire. DH liked it because it reminded him of his Boy Scout cook outs

Thanks Debby! First try here so we will attempt again since it didn’t go up in flames. We used Grandma B’s (Craig’s Grandma)old cast iron pan. We maybe didn’t need it but I was afraid the tinfoil would rip.

That’s a good memory. I think everybody here had a campfire yesterday. I get irritated when they burn their plastic which is what the camper next to us did....other then that I love the smell. I would love to go camping in the fall when it’s cool so you can cozy up to it...but harvest is apparently more important

Guess you'll have to go in the early spring before planting but still plenty cold enough for a fire.

And bake a loaf of bread and maybe a cobbler... Those smells are fabulous.

No fair Sean, Sour is a great contender but at any age he would have been maybe 12 or more years older than you. Youth must be served.

Then again with your multitude of physical injuries - I'd probably bet on both of you - maybe a photo finish.

We went to the Morris fair on Friday. It’s about 45 minutes from us. They had the Cattleman’s Association and Pork Producers there but the lines were so long we never got to try them. We’ve never been to this fair so thought we’d try something new. They had this Zedonk here, thought he was pretty neat. This acrobat was awesome and quite the charmer. I hate clowns but this one was funny.
