The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Oh Sean, do you think a pin or rod shifted?
Don't know dd, just woke up in a screaming pain. It's subsided somewhat but I don't think it's worth the hassle to go get it x-rayed....that's going to happen on Aug 29th. So only 9 days away.

Started one week when she was a couple of months past 14. Doctors have no cause, refer to it as a "sudden onset headache". She's gone through a couple dozen drugs, none did a thing until the Candesartin. It helps with the episodic "on top" migraines triggered by any number of things - man made fragrances being one of the worst. And artificial sweeteners and big barometric swings, like you can avoid that! I suffer from the first two, and nitrates and MSG. But I've managed to not have many migraines by carefully avoiding those triggers.
I get headaches from strong scents and barometric changes too. I’m glad they don’t get as bad as your daughters. Mine started when I was about 6. They aren’t as bad now as my teenage years were.
Bruce "better small than not at all." Your daughter sounds fine to me. My mom was 4'11", probably standing on her toes. My father was 5'10" the giant in my family. Brother was 5"8", sister 5'6". me 5' at my tallest. My son is about 5'6 or 5'7". We all "settled" getting older.

Short folks leave a smaller footprint on this earth and don't have to dig as much for a foxhole. I used to hate being short but, it's much easier to be invisible. I could stand in one spot for a half hour looking at books or magazines in a store, and rest of family always insisted they couldn't find me. Ah huh? They were lost. I knew where I was.
I’m 5 ft 2.5 inches...hubby is a foot taller.
Sorry DMC, I missed this! Haven't been keeping up as closely as I should. The iPhone cameras are very impressive lately! I'm between that and a Pixel. Don't really like my android anymore. Samsung Galaxy S6. Maybe the new Galaxies are better. They are up to 8 or 9 now. I really just want a great camera and battery life. I go to a lot of concerts and low light shots are always the biggest challenge. I'm not sure any phone camera can handle it.
I like my phone but it does not work good for anything like concerts. A lot of the pictures I take are in the daylight. There should be new iPhones coming out in September. They are costly though.
Gave some eggs and some of FSIL raspberry jam? Jelly? To a family friend last week, just figured he wanted them to eat but then he asked if he could enter it in the fair so I said sure cause I figure why not. Well anyway, the eggs got first place! His dad said they give a few first places (so idk if there's maybe different categories?) But still!! Considering I wasn't even planning on entering or didn't realize there was such a thing, I'm pretty happy. Although I think my parents are more happy than I am, they're like ecstatic/freaking out lol but it is pretty cool. The fair goes until Sunday, started Friday, so I think I may go down to the fair and see the eggs or see if it says what category or whatever I got. But heck, if I knew he was going to enter them, I would have chosen even better ones! Although I did try to put the best in the carton. I always give the best ones to people when we give them away (rare, usually just to my brother or friends who really need them). But yeah. Also wouldn't have refrigerated them since now they're wasted but oh well. I'm just amazed that I managed to get first place for such a last minute thing lol
Nice surprise, good job! Jam has seeds, jelly does not.

9 days is a long time to suffer:hugs

No phone camera is going to be good in low light. You need a lens with a really low F stop number. I think photos at low light concerts would be hard in any case if the show has a lot of flashing lights, drive an autofocus camera nuts.

PERFECT! Go grocery shopping together. You can get the stuff on the low shelves he can't see and he can get the stuff off the high shelves.

Thats exactly what happens:gig

Good morning :frow

Bruce, I feel for your DD...migraines are horrible. I hope the new medication helps your daughter. Thanks again for sharing the videos, they were fun to see.

Sean, sorry to hear you're having an issue with your leg again. I was hoping that was all behind you. :hugs

Back to work for me today, hope everyone has a good one!

morning everyone :frow
looks like a dreary day here so far, husband says suppose to storm in the afternoon (he listens to the news, i don't, nothing ever good happens and who cares who marries who)

Hi Sharron! Had to chuckle at your last comment (who marries who)...every few days I'll look at the home page of MSN or Yahoo and there's so much there on that subject. And mostly about "celebrities" I don't know :lau Most days I really don't mind being out of touch with the "real" world!
