LOL I imagine! Is there a way to trim his hooves?

yeah, the vet can do it or we can, i trained him when he was little to let me pick his feet up and do whatever i wanted, husbands pig , sally would't let him do anything like picking the feet up, she was a real pistol to trim hooves, had to put her in a sling and hang her from a beam to trim, lots of fun (not) and you went deaf for half an hour forgot to say, he had his hooves trimmed when he was little, vet did it along with the tusks and " other things" (he can't father babies)

Been trying to figure out how big/small he is.... My little bore is about 250 pounds and surprised everyone when he made babies... Apparently one of his testicles didn't drop. So he wasn't fully castrated. There's no visual evidence of this other than his three babies.

I've finally downloaded the camera so I can show you my DD's birthday cake. She decorated it herself in the end.

Our miniature peach tree has burst into bloom and I was feeling a little sad about having to leave it behind when we move, then I was weeding around it and found lots of little peach seedlings. They have been potted up so hopefully some will survive and be the start of my orchard at our new place (when we finally get there). Sounds like they take about 3 years to start producing fruit when grown from seed which is pretty good.

I got to cuddle a 3 day old lamb the other day. So adorable! DD's friend's family is looking after it until it's big enough to be integrated with the older lambs at the local regional park where they keep orphaned lambs for kids to bottle feed. Our son's favourite animal is sheep and now he really can't wait to get to our farm.

And I have a few cute/funny photos of our crazy cat, Mistletoe.

(I actually gave her a poke after snapping a few photos like this as she wasn't moving at all - she certainly 'plays dead' better than the dog can)!

I promise to try and stop by more often. I'm not quite sure what's happening to my days at the moment!

thank you and that cake looks so delicious , as for the sheep, we use to have wool sheep for many years then we discovered hair sheep, can't beat hair sheep, don't have to sheer them or dock the tails and the meat is out of this world, didn't care for the wool sheeps meat but anyway, good to hear from you again

please, please don't tell me that, i would have a heart attack if wilbur is "intact", he could turn mean and i truly don't want to have to do something about him, hes about an inch below my knees in height and just guessing but about 100 lbs, bigger than i wanted and was hoping cause when i bought him he weighted 3 lbs 4 ozs.

Oh wow the other pig sounds like a real pain to trim! But I am at the idea of a pig hanging from the rafters

Just figured maybe they'd hurt less if trimmed again or is it more the weight?

believe me at the time it was funny, thought we would never get her hooves done and with her squealing the whole time i was about ready to just let her go but we finally got it done, after that we put big rocks where she had to walk and that kept them trimmed, had her for 14 years and she hated me, always was trying to bite me, loved my husband that why she became his as for wilbur, his hooves aren't long yet its just the way he hit my foot, he was running to see if there was any dog food down on his way outside(hes housebroke)he hit my foot and twisted to turn to go down the hallway

And not saying this was the case with Wilbur but sadly a lot of people lie about the size of their adult pigs or sell underage pigs so that they look smaller when sold. Some even tell people to essentially under feed/starve their pig so that it stays really small. But unfortunately the extreme "tea cup" thing is basically a myth and usually the pigs end up eay bigger than intended. Whether it's just 60 or 100 pounds but still somewhat manageable up to a couple hundred and I knew one that had a full size like 600 some pound female but they kept her because they were attached. It's really a shame they do that cause not everyone can keep them when they get that big. :/ now of course there are some breeders that do have small ligs, I'm not sure exactly how they do it, but it's sad how many lie and/or sell underage or sick pigs to unsuspecting buyers just cause pet pigs are kind of a fad right now and they care more about the money than the pigs.

Sorry for the rant lol didn't mean for it to turn into that. And not saying that's where Wilbur came from or anything, it's just that you saying Wilbur is bigger than you thought reminded me of that. There are A LOT of unscrupulous pig breeders sadly. People see cute "mini", "teacup" etc. Pigs and want one and breeders capitalize on it. Same thing happens with dogs in popular movies. I think the videos are part of the problem, people don't realize the tiny little pigs in those videos are likely still babies.
