Funny story Blooie, but hey, at that age hormones are difficult to control.Love the story!! So funny! Kids that age are hilarious in their under or over-reactions to just about everything! Too bad about the pox, though.
When we had custody of Jamie and Little Diane, they walked over to the pool, which was just a few blocks away. They were supposed to be home at 2. They didn't make it. They didn't even make it at 2:45, and they had eye appointments at 4 and 4:30. Little Diane was still young enough where the rule was she had to have someone with her to walk there or home, and Jamie was probably around 13 or 14. So I drove over there. I stood at the fence and Little Diane got out and over to me right away. She said she was ready to go, but Jamie wasn't so she just stayed there, too. I called to Jamie, he just looked at me and shook his head "no". WHAT??? Oh, I don't think so, buddy! I had to get past the admissions and shower room, but I marched right up to the deep end of that pool and told him to get out of the water, they were already late. Once again he shook his head no. I got mad. I leaned just over the water and hissed, "JAMIE, YOU GET OUT OF THAT POOL RIGHT NOW!!" He looked down in shame, then looked back up at me and whispered. "I can't Gramma...not right now. Please don't ask me." The blinding light hit me. Oh......OH!! He stayed until he could comfortably get out. I took Diane home.
And now, I've had the day from Hades, so I'm going to bed. I may check in later, but I may not.
Thanks, i am glad someone appreciates it. Hubby is staying away to voice his protest. I am really looking forward to putting chickens in there.Looking good Cap!![]()
