The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Haven't been to bed yet Sean.
That doesn't change the fact that it was morning when you both posted!

@bruceha2000 sounds like a wonderful trip. Was it just for pleasure or was it skating related?
DD2 went to college in Beloit Wisconsin. It is JUST north of the Illinois state line. We came through the states on the way to drop here off the first time after stopping at Niagara Falls. Drove through Chicago. Not to insult anyone who lives in the area but DW said going through Chicago ONCE in her life was plenty. We came back through Canada. MUCH more pleasant driving even though it is a couple of hours longer. All subsequent trips were made on that route.

Ok, Ron and Sharron.... he actually bought the girl that he picked a drink at the bar that night... Kiddie drinks of course... She was first to notice the pox and unfortunately she was right.

ETA: I heard from her parents that she got it too.
Dang, he could have spent 10 days with her.

husband had chicken pox, he also got shingles a few years ago, at least that what his dr said he he never got a rash, just pain
Pain, ok, not pain but PAIN, started before the rash for me.

Good morning everyone!

Well, winter is here....Wyoming Winter that is. Heavy snow at the East entrance to the Park...naturally, since we have to drive through that way when we go to Jackson/Evanston/Pinedale next week. Maybe it'll all be melted off by then. Currently snowing in Jackson, too.

Today is Linda's birthday. You'd think by now it wouldn't bother me as much - but it does. Man, I miss her more than even I thought possible.

That "missing" part never stops B. At least it hasn't for me and it's been 17 years since I lost my sister. But the pain part gets better, I promise. :hugs

Morning everyone!

The final countdown for @N F C ! Yay! After such a horrible start to the season, you deserve a nice smooth end. What's the first thing you're going to do when you're done?

The first thing I have to do isn't going to be any fun at all. Apparently there's been a screw up between my health insurance company, my doctor and the pharmacy. What a knot to untangle.:he

After that, I have a short list of stuff I want to do:
More BYC time!:D
Clean off the kitchen table where DH has been dropping stuff for the past 5 months
Maybe meet DMC if we can get our plans in synch
Start sorting through boxes in the basement
I've been collecting new recipes to try out this winter:drool
Get my son out here for a visit
DH & I are going to try to get up to Yellowstone sometime (if the roads are open). He's never been and I haven't seen it in several years.

Pretty much regular stuff, but it all sounds good to me!

Was that the 1st time you've been to the Falls Bruce? I've been a couple times and was totally impressed. As I recall, the U.S. side was more park-like and scenic but the Canadian side had more "entertainment" type things. Is it still that way or has the U.S. side commercialized too?

I think it's still like that but I haven't been to the U.S. side in a while and last I was at the falls was a few years ago. We haven't been to the U.S. side much cause after the first time or couple times we're like this is boring, they have literally nothing here lol the Canadian side is awesome. Almost lile Vegas in some ways. At least I think so though I've never been to Vegas. Clifton Hill is a particularly fun street.
