I do want to say that it might have seemed less costly to go on a road trip way back when but remember that wages were lower too. Cost is relative and it was pricey then too.

Yea, I can remember supporting my wife and kids on 80 bucks a week back in the day. Didn't ever seem to be doing without.

Just how did we do it ? I think folks just did without or needed less back then. Many have lost the reality of what is necessary.

Sounds like you're already getting the heat with temps in the 90's. Probably not unusual for you this time of year, right? Hope you get some of that rain!

I forgot to close our porch door last night and we woke up to temps in the 40's (in the house no less). Oh well, always easier to sleep when it's cool!

We always close the porch door because we hate having bears in the house.
