They carry Chagras disease. Can be deadly. The reason they are called kissing bugs is because they bite usually on your face.

Ugh, I just looked them up And here all this time, I thought the kissing bug was just something made up.

Nope, their real and deadly. Here In the hill country their having an outbreak of them for the past few years. They have made people very sick and have killed dogs. The treatment on animals is expensive, a friend of mine has spent $5000 on treatments on her dog.

I swell up from bug bites too...especially flies. I have lots of bites right now but it’s a variety of things I think munching on me. I’ve slept like crap all week due to it. They itch like the dickens and hurt too.
