The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My naughty doves have snuck two eggs past me and both are fertile. I'm hoping they just hatch one successfully like last time so little Winter has a buddy (which will have to be called Spring). I've convinced our DD to rehome the parents and we can just enjoy Winter who is super tame and sweet, plus another baby if one hatches (let's hope they both end up being the same sex). :fl

@N F C I'd like an Australian Terrier. They are great with young and old, are generally good with other pets, and they are the 'softest' terrier personality wise. They were developed by sheep herders in Australia to serve as rodent control (they'll even take on a snake) and as companion dogs to keep them company. They are very cute looking too. Unfortunately the only few breeders in NZ are all the way down in Christchurch, so there'll be the cost of flying a baby up to us as well.

Had to look up the Australian Terrier, very nice! I've always been fond of terriers in general. I used to have a West Highland Terrier and my cousin has Cairn terriers.

Great little dogs!

Morning all :frow
ls a yard bird a robin? i never ate one but my older siblings did, times were tough then and momma had a sawed off shotgun and the robin were plentiful so she took the gun and shot them(a whole flock)
Yup, sour's right chicken = yard bird.... Grandpa to this day refuses to eat chicken. Bad childhood memories I guess...

It all depends on what we're comparing to. If compared to the factory way better. If compared to what I did before I moved to TN, it's easy and requires mental work, but not the same. But not something I need or really want anymore. In my old life I was the boss. I had a team of 150 great professionals who did an amazing job. After we lost the contract, my most impressive feat was to ensure all of them had a soft landing. Ironically, I'm still in contact with my old customers who are all unhappy with the new contractor. But the whole thing was political... Had the contract for 13 years, way too long in the eyes of the feds. So a change was needed.
