hoping the hard frost holds off for us for awhile, but if it frost we will dig the carrots and potatoes, will also pick the last of the watermelons so that they'll still be good to eat, they are soooo sweet, i saved seeds from a yellow one we bought last year at the auction, have no idea what kind it is other than its a yellow flesh with seeds :idunno, even husband likes it and he usually doesn't care for watermelon.even got a pink flesh one on the same vine, weird, side by side . keeping seeds again this winter too.
If the rind was dark green and had yellow flesh, it's probably a Black Diamond. I like them better than the red flesh ones but you don't hardly every see them anymore.

Keeping my fingers crossed you don't have flooding Cap! :fl

We had to make a decision if we were going to get going on a project house this winter or wait another year. There just wasn't anything else in Cody right now to do anything there. But that is where we plan to end up in the long run!

Yep, we'll get moved after closing. I'll be there with the cats all winter and DH will divide his time between Casper and here since he doesn't have a whole terrible lot do to at the golf course this winter.

You & Ken are buzzing around the state this winter...maybe we can meet up for lunch (since that didn't work so well in Rawlins )!
4 people in Danville (where i shop often) drowned in flooding! The river was the highest we have ever seen it, but the level went down 10 feet today!

:p

You are going to give up the free housing that comes with the golf course job?? And commute?? And pay on a mortgage?? I figured it was a "rental until we need it or sell it to buy something in Cody" house.

Good thing you are way up off that river!!!
Yeah. Being up on a plateau if you live on a river is the only way to go.

Stupid cat got out a couple hours ago, like 10 or 11, when we let the dog out one last time and I accidently left the door wide open cause I was talking (so I guess stupid human :gig) and anyway, darted right under the deck so no chance of finding her at that point so we figured she would be fine until morning as she's a very smart cat and plus usually hunkers down somewhere at night and doesn't go far, but I figured I would check one more time before I went to bed since I was staying up anyway. Well, just finished watching TV not that long ago, like 1:15ish, and almost forgot, came upstairs and was about to get in bed, but I couldn't stop thinking about her and what if she got eaten cause I was too lazy to check one more time. So back downstairs I went and sure enough there she was. Wasn't right at the door, was at the other one, but heard me calling and came running right over and in the house. I think she realized how cold it was out there (40s tonight) and decided it was a stupid decision. :lau now she is laying on me while I type this. I'm glad I checked again cause her coat still isn't fully grown in yet from being shaved and she could have froze out there if she didn't get eaten. I think she's happy to be back in :lau

And sorry for the novel when that probably could've been a sentence
