What's ham casserole? Don't think I've heard of that.
My mom use to make it, macaroni and cheese and ham, whenever we had a ham, after most of the ham was eaten, she would cut up the remaining ham in cubes. To this she added macaroni, cheese, celery, onion, bay leaf, salted and pepper in big soup pot. I guess some people would call it hash or casserole but not exactly.

Gotcha!

I use that sort of ham leftover for ham & potato soup.

Just no mac and cheese for me please. Twice found a caterpillar (?) that came to the top when water was boiling. Kraft's Mac & Cheese. The second time was the last straw, never got any again. :barnie:sick
That's why I don't do store bought, make it from scratch. Made mac and cheese last night along with grilled butterflied pork chops. :love yum!

Yeah, it's basically what's still hanging onto the bone, we usually had whole hams or butt hams.
