The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, I've actually had a garden the past two years, and i definitely love it but idk if this contraption is worth the investment. I could possibly build something or maybe there is something better to buy?
Build one yourself is a good idea. We love DIY here.

Last year we had two of these but this year my mom said they were ugly lol so this year we just planted in ground but the garden was relatively small. It did well though. Next year it is going to be even bigger because it is the current garden (I need to measure it) plus the old chicken run so it's going to be one giant garden (current garden is right next to it but we didn't want to use chicken run yet because we had just moved them in April. We did grow pumpkins in it though). The chicken run is 6x12 but honestly material kind of extends out beyond that cause it got kicked out so in reality it's probably bigger. This year and last year we also had some stuff in pots on the deck. My potted peppers last year did really well. This year I never transferred them to a bigger pot. The pots are kinda messy though so I feel like something like that could be better. Idk though.

I think I might but I wouldn't know where to begin. Is it even possible to build a metal frame like that? Maybe I should build some nice wooden ones or something.
Use the material you like best. Metal frames could be made using a welder but not that many have a welder or know how to use one

Thanks! And yeah, I definitely don't know a welder lol

And now I'm debating on whether to make next year's garden in ground again or to build a frame around it and make it kind of raised? Of course still with an open bottom. I just kind of think the raised beds, especially wooden, look a little cleaner and neater but then that's a lot of dirt to fill it. Idk.

It depends on your soil. Here we have bad soil with a lot of clay. It is not very fertile
