who is darth? asked before and still don't know

Darth Vader is a character who shows up on one of our big willow trees if we get any significant snowfall. Kinda creepy looking out the kitchen window and seeing him, but he's there! This year we had a horrendous storm, and a lot of the bark was ripped off the trees. Looks like part of the part that makes up Darthie-boy might be lost. But the bark on those trees is so doggone thick - they ain't small trees, by any stretch!

I have 2/3 of it quilted!

@ronott1, Those fires are moving so fast! Stay safe! No unnecessary risks. No heroics! If you have to go, get the hell out! We'll be praying for you and for everyone affected.

You know, it's funny. We had fires here in Wyoming all summer, from the southestern part of the state to the beautiful Grand Teton area in the northwestern part. That one was horrible...burned for weeks and took out something like 50 homes. There were actually 2 going up there at the same time. Not a word about it. <sigh> I dunno if the news people think, "Well, there's nobody living in Wyoming anyway." or what.

I am keeping a watch on the alerts for local fires. We are not in the forest so a grass or building fire could get us. It is very dry here

I think instead of decorating your house, you need to decorate the vehicle you live in and drive to all the meetings. That way you can see it.

Why ISN'T it you? If the men folk aren't interested, that doesn't mean the women folk may not be. See if maybe your Mom would like to start decorating earlier if you are going to help her.
