Yeah, all his steps are the way a fancy dancer, dances...seems to the uninformed that they are just making it up as they go along but that's not the case. He didn't dance for very long, so it appears like it was just random movement. You can Google the different pow wow dancers and the steps involved in their dancing, if you really want to know....also you can google pow wow protocol, that way if you go to a pow wow you won't feel like a interloper! ;)
 
Here's a couple of vids Bruce. The dancers are all performing the same steps but there is leeway in their presentation and style. 1st is competition between groups of dancers narrowing it down to one dancer from each group to go on to the next competition. Only one will be chosen to go to the final competition which will include the winner from each group. Like a dance off, for the recognition of champion dancer of the pow wow.
The second is a "chicken" dance. The dancers are interpreting the prairie chickens mating display dance. And their regalia is a representation of the prairie chicken.
You see alot better the dance steps that are required for the dance.
