The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

They can miss a meal but not water...as long as they have water, they will be alright for another day.
I love the auto water system I have in the chicken yard!

The small coop has a nipple in a bucket setup that needs to be refilled about every 5 days. More often in the summer

Yeah, I liked the setup I had when I was a kid, wish I had it now. Had an old artesian well up on a hill. I pushed a pipe into it and ran water to each pen, gravity flow. It went into the first pen, the overflow went to next pen and so on. Didn't worry about freezing in the winter either, 68°F year round. Continuous fresh water year round.

Morning sharron :frow
Be safe out there today. Hope everything goes well at the doctors.:fl :hugs

Good morning Sharron, Sean & everyone!

Sharron, hope all goes well at the doctor's office.

well, just got home and had to feed before i could sit down and breathe
son took us to the hospital as y'all know, it was the hospital not the dr's office, dr took him down and put the cath? into his wrist and up to his heart, the old stent he had put in at least 20 years ago had clogged up completely so he put another one in close to the old one, still clogged to he put another one close to the new one, now its open and his heart beat is going up, while we were there(left while husband was eating lunch) his heart beat went up slowly but surely to 70 SO RELIEVED, dr was real nice, he slipped husband in ahead of his first operation cause husbands dr here in town was scared for husband, his heart beat before was only 48 and he was afraid he would have a heart attack before he could get in to this heart surgeon. if nothing goes wrong, i can go get him in the morning and bring him home:wee:wee:yesss:
thanks for all the well wishes , it worked:hugs

Yeah, me too, I was laid off one week before dad passed away in Oct 09 and then in May 2010 I broke my tibia & fibia in the motorcycle accident, which took 11 months before I was able to walk again. Plus all the guff I had to put up with from my evil brother and sister over my dad's will, I was appointed the Executor of his Estate....so not a fun year.
can't really like all that went on that 2 years but everything if good now, except leg

Artesian wells are amazing! There was one on the property where my Dad grew up and there is a place in the Mendocino national forest called cold springs that is one too. We camped there and drank the water that came up out of the ground. It was very good water too
