The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

no blooie, they went thru his hand, and they told him no lifting anything heavy for at least 48 hrs, the only thing he brought home is the wash pan & urine pan and his prescription for blood thinner but i'm trying to hold him to a small crawl :lau
Did they prescribe Eliquis?

Thanksgiving dinner prep is under way here. So far, I've made 2 different cranberry relishes (because neither DH or I could remember which one we liked best ), the green bean casserole is put together except the friend onions on top, bread dough is rising and the pumpkin pie is baked. Next up, get the dressing assembled for baking tomorrow.

And the best part...I cleaned as I went along so the kitchen is clean! :woot

Made it to Erie. Stayed in NY last night. It's a little under 6 hours but we stopped like 3 times including a bigish stop for lunch and gas so was over 6 aha I also got car sick but thankfully didn't hurl in the car. Tried to in rest stop but couldn't but thankfully hotel was soon after. Felt better with fresh air and shower but couldn't go to dinner. Migraine and nauseous and after they left finally threw up. Although I also did again couple hours later after getting a bit of sleep and slightly loose the other end (sorry tmi) so I'm not convinced it was only a migraine or car sickness.

no, something called clopidogrel or plavix
Ok, they wanted me to take Eliquis, but my copay share of the prescription was $437 bucks, for 50mg tablets, take one a day.
so I said no way, I'm paying that much for that. I took a 250mg aspirin a day, instead.

But thankfully the good news is it was further than we thought (a little less than an hour past Syracuse), mom thought it was on the other side of Syracuse, so we only had about 3 hours today. Although we stopped in the Indian reservation between Buffalo and Erie and looked around. I think it's Seneca Nation. DB got some chewing tobacco at one of the places and we stopped at this really cool Western shop. It was really cool and huge, had tons of clothes, boots, cowboy hats, etc. And some artwork and a lot of horse stuff too, supplies and supplements and such. Plus show clothes, girths, bridles, helmets, saddles, pads, etc. Of course I was mostly looking at the horse stuff :lau they had some gorgeous saddles. I think some of the Western ones were handmade.
