Does anyone have a clue what animal leaves tracks like this?

The tracks are a tiny bit smaller than the palm of my hand, so I'm thinking it's too big to be a raccoon.

thats what i'm thinking, to he honest i don't think to much of the dr's around here anymore altho i do have to admit, his one now is on top of things, he just had to change dr's last fall due to insurance and hes the one who was scared because of the low heart rate, old dr just kept giving him more pills to take but we shall see

I like Tramadol, it takes the edge off the pain. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't become addicted to it....Idk, maybe some peeps do?

And beagles gain weight really easily, right? Labs too. And well meaning people constantly give them people food and little tid bits and such. It's hard but I wouldn't. I mean, Gator we do occasionally but not usually daily and plus he's huge so he doesn't gain weight as fast or if he does, one or two pounds isn't as big of a deal as it is on a little small dog, especially gained slowly. And I'm not even sure he really gained anything. But some breeds love food and act "starving" all the time and well meaning people feel bad and overfeed. And I must say, it is hard to resist those puppy dog eyes. I imagine it's even harder on an adorable little beagle, their faces are so sweet. But I see so many obese (not just overweight) Labs, sometimes Beagles, and lots of little dogs. Seen some Chihuahuas and Pugs. The little dogs it's especially sad. I saw some really obese Chihuahuas once that could barely even walk :( I remember my friend used to have a Bichon Frise and she used to say he wasn't allowed to have treats, or at least not very many, because he had to stay under like 15 pounds and even a pound was a lot on a little dog.

That said, I do think Gator has gotten a bit chunky in his old age so I do need to work on that with him. It's hard because he really doesn't exercise and his knees have been bothering him lately so when we do go, we can't go far. But he got some new meds from the vet we're going to try plus I've got a lot of supplements if those fail so hopefully that will get him moving better or at least in less pain so he can exercise a little more. I've been thinking swimming would be good and we do have a small pond nearby but it's manmade and lots of people walk around it and he can sometimes be a little reactive with other dogs. He's so sick now I doubt he'd be as bad but I don't want to risk it. But maybe I could find a time when there'd be less people or something. Could go to the beach or river off DB's house but that's cold water so I doubt it'd be helpful. Dog PT or aquatherapy is expensive. I've been thinking of building him a little pool or underwater treadmill thing.

Yeah, weimar's usually only live about 9-10 years....especially if they are big dogs. Even my vet said I must have been doing something right, he never saw a weimar or a big dog live that long. He even cried with me when I had her put down.
