The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone!

Trying to catch up on all the BYC happenings...I can see where the time will go today :)

Had a good trip to Casper but man, am I sore and tired. We tore out all the kitchen cabinets, removed all the drywall from the kitchen ceiling and most of the kitchen walls. Got a lot of the trim work off in most of the rooms and ordered new kitchen appliances.

Now we're home, yay!

Wow!! Can I hire you guy? Tired of looking at half a kitchen!

thank you nfc, but i guess hes still not up to par, he made another appt with the heart dr for tomorrow just to make sure its not the heart thats bothering him now, but going to take the chickens today to friends before my dr's appt

Keep us posted, @sharron! They told me that a little post-stent discomfort isn’t unusual as the heart adapts to the better blood flow, but that I should have anything I wasn’t sure about checked out, so he’s doing the right thing.

Thanks for asking Blooie! The pain is not getting better but i did get an rx for some pain pills other than Motrin. They would not order an MRI because they don't have one there. So i will see the Ortho doc on Thursday this week and hopefully they will order it.
The pain is miserable, and the Lortabs i had from before just take the edge off the pain. I will be spending most of the day in Lynchburg tomorrow after my appt with the Plastic surgeon for my one month follow up. No pain pills while driving. Sigh.
I have found that if i keep busy it hurts less than if i sit around thinking about how much it hurts. I am suspecting a disc problem or bone spurs, which might cause the numbness in my left thumb. It will likely be next week before i get any results even if they order an MRI right away.
I love your dog by the way!
:fl
I am hoping the pain gets better!

oh you know i will, i will probably need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to talk to and all of y'all are so caring:hugs

Gee Debby, you're aggressive... It took me 3 years to do my old kitchen. Of course, mine included some structural re-wickering and I was working 60 hours a week and traveling two weeks out of the month, and my cabinets came in the form of a pile of hardwood.

We don't have a lot of time to mess around, we have to do the job while the golf course is closed. And every month we own the house, it's another mortgage payment, home insurance and utilities and commuting back & forth. The sooner we get done, the better!

Cap, either I missed what happened at the ER or you haven’t said....and I was asking the other day, too! So how are you doing?

For anyone who thinks they’d like a big dog, check these out! In the one with her head, that’s my size 10, wide foot next to it! I posted these on another thread so if you’ve seen them before, forgive me. But even though I was no stranger to Irish Wolfhounds, having one and seeing her grow....and grow...and grow is astounding, especially in this little house. And she is so darned sweet! All of her orneriness is done outside, and she can be pretty destructive out there. But she’s the gentlest thing!
