The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning everyone!

Trying to catch up on all the BYC happenings...I can see where the time will go today :)

Had a good trip to Casper but man, am I sore and tired. We tore out all the kitchen cabinets, removed all the drywall from the kitchen ceiling and most of the kitchen walls. Got a lot of the trim work off in most of the rooms and ordered new kitchen appliances.

Now we're home, yay!
:frow, now take a few days to work out the kinks and soreness, horse liniment works well too

Hi Bob :frow I see I have a conversation in my inbox about the baking thread. I promise I'll get to it soon!

Hey Sharron, after catching up with this thread, I see your DH is feeling pretty spunky again. Hope you both are doing well!

Is that like getting the chicks before the coop is built? Takes some time to get new drywall up, painted and cabinets and countertops installed. Especially when you can only work on it occasionally. Or are you paying someone to do those things?

The appliances will take 3-5 weeks to come in. That gives us time to finish tearing out the old drywall and we'll replace it with new plus do the painting (another job I can do). Fortunately, we don't have to do drywall in the 3 bedrooms! We haven't ordered the cabinets yet but have picked out the ones we want so when it's time, that should go pretty fast.

Luckily, DH and I are in 100% agreement on things like paint color, cabinets, etc. That makes it easier.
