How did he get it off? I would love to remove ours. I’ve painted it but not with oil based paint.

The rooms, doorways, floor, etc were covered with heavy duty plastic. Cut along the wall edges so the walls wouldn't come down too. Then hammer away.


And then you have have outlets every 2 feet along the counters per code. STUPID code but then they are now making appliances with 2' cords when means you NEED outlets every 2 feet.

Plus, you need some insulation ... badly!

When you think about all the stuff in a kitchen that needs to be plugged in, it makes sense to have a lot of outlets. Stuff like coffee makers, toaster ovens, microwaves, mixers, etc. And you're right...short cords on all of them.

I guess when this house was built in the '50's people were tougher and didn't expect the houses to be kept as warm as summer :confused:
