I would put one on each side, if I had the dexterity to do so. I don't, that's why I had to stop trimming dogs. Also dropped and broke too many clipper heads, chipped "teeth" in blades. :confused:

In all the Native American lore I have explored, have never seen a bald man. Nor one with chest hair (this is not a complaint). I would think genes like that would be very worthwhile to other populations. But would hope they don't go public. Enough has been taken from natives.

Did you thank the crows for getting the Eagle out of you area? They are big predators of chickens

And it’s not Christmas without the Charlie Brown tree! How touching to put up the little tree on the 27th anniversary of Ma’s death. She passed on the 19th, although her certificate says the 20th because that’s when she was actually pronounced. The elves didn’t put up the Village because they weren’t sure how I’d want to do it this year, but the boxes are here so I can.

I have a little finishing work to do on it all yet - the Village and a few boxes of other things that are part of Christmas to me and the grandkids. But just like the story of the Charlie Brown Tree, those elves knew how much I love Christmas and missed having all the things that make Christmas special. One of the elves would have preferred not to fuss with all of it just to put it all away again in a few days, (given our limited time and how far behind we are on our work here at home) but put that aside and dove right in when the other elf called him about surprising me with it.

It's a huge system, but I'd have to get 300 feet or so to get my foundation wetter than the runoff.

no, didn't think of it, was too busy watching him fly away with the crow behind him, don't think there was any chickens in town but i could be mistaken seeing as this is a very old town and sure to be some that have chickens in the back yard.
i love my crows at home, they run the hawks off and one year even raised young in the pasture in the white ash trees

The crows at my house know me and follow me when I go on walks. I do talk to them, which is likely odd to the other people walking too!

Crows are very smart and live a long time

yeah, i usually talk to mine too, they love to follow my husband when he mows the pasture, they catch the bugs, mice whatever runs from the tractor, they hang around when i'm in the garden too, beautiful birds and very smart, they know i won't hurt them

I am sure that the crows here keep my chickens safe from Hawks. I have always liked them though. Luckily they are fairly resistant to West Nile and are still here. Magpies are not resistant and are nearly absent for the Sacramento area.

never had magpies, just crows, blue jays, mocking birds and lots of small birds, doves and every once in a while, pheasants come up to eat with the chickens not to mention wild turkeys and another love of mine, wood peckers
