Dogs don't have dew claws on their back legs.Huh, I didn’t realize injuries were so common. I have heard of some but then I have heard of a lot of people say they never had an issue so it is all so confusing. And yeah, in the comments of the second video some people were saying that their dogs got theirs snagged in the thick underbrush and stuff so maybe for upland hunting they should be removed? Or just for all dogs. Idk. Libby still has hers and appears fine and Gator did too and never snagged his but he also wasn’t very active at all. Libby is very active so it remains to be seen whether she will injure hers. They do trim them regularly just like her other nails, hers is a bit lower on the leg than I have seen them, closer to her paw, and seem very well attached, not flimsy and hanging off like some I have seen. She does use hers pretty regularly. For some reason though, it appears her rear dew claws were removed.
