Nice job Debby!! What’s in your frosting?

Thank you DMC! It's not the typical frosting that you make with egg white. This was just powdered sugar, almond extract and a bit of milk. I got the idea on using the bottles and the recipes from everyone's friend, Pinterest.

They look gorgeous! I love the colour combo. I like fondant on biscuits (I just use short crust pastry as I've never had much luck making my own sugar cookie batter that doesn't want to crack and rip as I'm trying to roll it out). But on a cake not so much.

Thanks Jae! I wish I would have been able to make a couple other colors but not badly enough to drive all the way to town. The next time you make your cookies, I want a picture!

I finally tried the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. :drool Scrummy! DH bit into one and said "Oh wow"! Which is very high praise from him. I will have to play around with the temperature though as it was too hot in my oven. 450F converts to 230C so I might try 210C next time and see how that goes as I had to whip them out after 19mins. I only managed to make 18 and I had to melt more butter because I must've overdone it the first time around. Definitely worth all the trouble though.

That's pretty much all we ate yesterday as it was so hot.

@KDOGG331 just thought you'd be interested in this breed of dog if you haven't read about it before. It's an ancient breed with 6 toes, it can close off it's ear canals, spread its front legs right out sideways until they are at 90 degrees to their body, and put their head back far enough for the top to touch their back. It's the Norwegian Lundehund. That's one truly unique little dog and it almost became extinct. They are cute looking little things too.
Oven temperatures can very quite a bit!

I an happ that you liked them

It’s similar to mine. I use powdered sugar, half and half, salt and vanilla. I’ve never tried egg white. I think my recipe came from this book but it’s missing some pages and the back cover. One of the few things I kept of my mom’s. It’s from 1963.

I was checking to see if I had that and found a sunset book from the 80s that has a recipe in it that I was looking for a couple of years ago. It is called baked eggs and mushrooms. I will have to make it now!

We have the same book! The front cover of mine is torn off but so far, I've managed to not lose it.

My family would like that, I am not a mushroom fan.

Awesome! When I was little it was my dream to make the gingerbread house in that book. Now it looks like a lot of work.
