You need bentonite lining that pond. Nothing gets through that stuff! It’s soft as talc when dry......if you get stick in it you ain’t going nowhere. Wet it’s slickery as all getout -if you get stuck in it you ain’t going nowhere. It’s used to line wells, ponds, ditches, landfills (required in landfills...ask me how I know THAT), as a binder in some cosmetics, chocolate, and even ice cream.

And Blooie would know, bentonite all over her area. Maybe she can send you some.

Beautiful! I remember standing under low tree branches as kids and shaking them so it snowed on us...wouldn’t do that now.

Beautiful!!! It finally found us! Been snowing pretty hard since about half an hour ago. Guess Cody is really getting it. Ken went up there to pick up Fee from the boarding kennel and he called halfway there to let me know how bad it is the closer he gets to Cody. He said “Don’t hold supper for me - I may be awhile.” With all of our advanced technology, wouldn’t you think we’d find a way to make snow fall everywhere BUT the roads and streets?

Sure is nice to finally see some, though, I gotta admit!

they could do it blooie if they wanted to spend our tax dollars instead of putting it in their pockets, think about it, run ways for the airports have heat under it and melts the snow

Yep, and all over the cars, the furniture, photos, computers....in summer when it’s dry, it gets kicked up from vehicles on surrounding roads and floats on the wind until it finds the cleanest spot to settle....usually indoors on a black glass TV stand, and usually just as company knocks on the front door.

It’s also very gritty in its raw state, so if you aren’t careful dusting it can scratch surfaces. Think of a sparkling white sand beach. Feels so soft on your bare feet. A handful of it is just silky as it runs through your fingers. But when you get a teeny bit of that sand in one of those places nice people don’t talk about, it’ll scratch the heck out of you. That’s like Bentonite. So I have wisely learned to let it build up to white sand beach proportions before dusting. It’s softer that way and won’t scratch like a little bit of it does. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

If anybody is interested, basically all American Journey products (which I think is Chewy’s brand but I’m not really sure) are buy one, get one FREE on Chewy right now. I say basically all because the only thing that is not is dry dog food, which is unfortunate because it’s good food, but I can understand why as the dog food is probably most popular and also much larger bags, so they would likely lose more money. But I believe the dry dog food is on sale a little bit even though you don’t get a free bag. But anyway, everything else is BOGO. Dry cat food, wet dog and cat food, dog treats, etc. (they don’t make cat treats or else those probably would be too.) And they have good ingredients but a reasonable price so IMO this is a good deal. Here is the link if anyone wants.

Just ordered Luna the poultry and beef pâté variety pack last night (tried to post this last night but my pad died and I just went to sleep). Kind of wish I had found the other flavors though and known they were also on sale because I think she would have liked the minced in gravy ones or an all poultry pack rather than the beef and pate but she does eat pate’s and only one flavor in the pack has the beef, the other are poultry, so I think it will be fine. She eats just about anything LOL but they have a lot of different flavors and very large cans too. I just got 3 oz cans mostly because, again, I didn’t know they made more. Whoops. Oh well. I was basically just browsing all wet cat food and found the American Journey one. It is so hard to know what to feed them and what’s best. I almost got her a Blue Wilderness variety pack because she liked the last Blue Wilderness flavor I got her and it was one of the cheaper options. Was considering Wellness, Merrick, Taste of the Wild, Earthborn, and some other ones too. There are so many. It is so hard to know what to get them or what is best. I am lucky she is not picky but so many are and so many foods are so expensive. I was trying to consider the cheaper ones but they are still more expensive than some of the foods but also way cheaper than others. But anyway, long story short, this one won out because, well, you get one FREE. You can’t beat that lol 48 cans which will last almost 2 months for the price of 24 lol
