I put beans on one side and cukes on the other. I alternate each year, I plant both sides of the row. The big tall wood thing in back is a support for the cherry tomato plant, it has been moved to a different location and that area has been expanded for peas. Raspberries behind it, road up the side of the property behind the fence.
Huh, interesting. So I assume your other sheep were dual purpose or meat sheep? Just that wool sheep don’t taste good? Katahdins look like a cool breed. Although how do you get the wool if it’s all shed of

Must be! And meat goats vs dairy goat. Meat chicken i think tastes the same or worse than any other chicken so not much difference there probably.

Lol Gator used to love the Lambchop dog toys they sell everywhere. Little stuffed Lambchop with squeakers in the hands and body but he just loved to carry it around. It was soft and fleecy.
LOL probably! Sounds about right. I too am like that. Don’t like seafood either and I’ve never tried most of it even living in New England.did try lobster once and it was chewy and really weird texture. And I like some fish but not all. Better if it’s fried. I would like to be more adventurous though so I think I’m going to start trying new stuff. I guess the worst that could happen is I actually DON’T like it and then I know for next time and never have to eat it again. BUT. I could also end up loving it and wondering why I missed out all these years. Right? I have also never had duck or most game meat and a lot of fruits and vegetables too besides all the basic, common ones. Any suggestions on foods I should try first?
OH! And also somewhat related but not really but two questions for you: I tried to eat green beans (like whole ones from the store) a couple times and they’re always gross but yet I like canned green beans. Are homegrown ones better or more flavorful? I sure hope so considering I bought a whole seed packet of them. An heirloom kind. Also, speaking of green beans, trying to set up the garden fairly soon, and was wondering exactly how you made your cattle panel arch for the garden and what plants you said you put on the inside of it versus the outside?

they likely would have to throw them anyway since they already handed them out. Stupid policy but most have that policy and would likely prefer you just eat them. I personally just get really happy when they give me extras lol

guess they were duel purpose, i guess we could have sold the wool but usually just gave it away if we could, the hair sheep are all meat sheep, the wool sheep are good to some people but i didn't like it, i could taste the lanolin in the meat and as for beans, i usually plant bush green beans, one row of yellow bush beans and two rows of kentucky blue wonders, we use a hog panel or cattle panel on each row and make it like a teepee, works great for standing while picking instead of bending over to pick

you know they do have a french green beans, its a green bean thats in territorial seed co., i buy alot of my seeds from themHuh, sounds like I will just have to try them and decide for myself then!! And that’s true! I don’t like to eat most canned vegetables and definitely not plain/raw but I do like French cut canned green beans for green bean casserole!
And thanks!! That helps a lot!! We are thinking of possibly renting a trailer to take them home in and I have my dad and brothers to help me. So I think using the cattle panels shouldn’t be too difficult so I may try that but idk yet. We need some for some other stuff anyway. What did you plant under it? Did you say you put tomatoes on it at one point too? Or no?
