The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, I still wear the same size blue jeans so inseam hasn't changed, but they say I am 1.5" shorter than I was 40 years ago when I started with this clinic.
Somehow I went from 30-36 when I was in college to 34-34 now. I understand the first number but who's inseam changes?

Hubs had it built when he built the house in about '96 so suprising it lasted this long.:hmm
Fence looks to be in pretty good shape other than the rotted posts. Really weird that every post snapped. The boards still look good and the horizontals as well since they are all still intact.

Looks good enough for my next coop build! But the bottom foot and 1/2 is pretty rotten. Remaining fence would not be tall enough to keep dogs out and chickens in.

Well, doctor says that I am shrinking, but I think it has to do with muscle tone in my legs and general overall physical condition. :old I get very angry with my body when it is no longer able to do what I think it should. :lau Then I look at others my age (those still alive) and say to myself, "Quit b*tching, boy and plod onwards."

Right there with you. but my pants are one size smaller since moving to the farm.

Sorry about your fence Becca :(

Well inseam changes if you lose or gain weight. For instance if anyone has a shall we say fluffy stomach. Takes more material to go around it, so inseam may be shortened.

If you used to wear "high rise," and then go to low riders. Also with age you do loose height over time. Especially if you have some degree of osteoporosis.

There is a lady 92 years old on the bus (not a rarity) but she told me she once was 5'5"
now she is about 4'9". Even I am taller than her. Otherwise she does yoga and is in very good shape otherwise.

I have gone down 2 waist sizes in jeans eating regular meals(for me). With shorter inseams than before . I do prefer the high waist jeans but, I have one hip a bit higher than the other. So when I did my own hemming I'd split the difference between them.
My son has the same thing.

I don't know about men's jeans(pants) but, women's jeans are now also offered in ankle length. That turns out perfect for me. Then I don't need to hem anything. :celebrate
