The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Now i am jealous! I just need to load mine up, the temp seems to be holding up well.
I can't wait to start. Anything has to be better than my hovabator experiences last year.
I'm going to brood in the coop and outside. I've got to make some MHPs and brooding areas .
The woman I bought the incubator from was saying that she doesn't have time to brood. So that got me thinking... I could start a hatching/ brooding business. I've already got 1 customer.

Great idea!! A lot of people want chickens but don’t have the time for little babies or don’t want the mess of them or whatever. So if you could grow them out for people, I think that is a great idea.

Brooding takes a lot of bucks for feed and electric and people want everything cheaply. In my experience.

I'll run the brooders on solar. Also, MHPs and plates use a lot less power. As for the feed, that will be factored into the brooding price. Thinking $25/chick for 3 weeks.

Yup, Marans and Americauna cross. Getting ready to head out soon! Good luck with your fishing tonight! Catch a lunker bass!
would rather have a mess of bluegills or bream, don't care for the bass bigger than 2 or 3 lbs, i like nice and tender lol

I just bought a 176 egg cabinet incubator/ hatcher combo. Now i just have to wait for it to warm up enough so the eggs don't freeze almost as soon as they're laid.
i had one given to me years ago, a friend passed away and it was hers, she only used it a couple of times and when i told her husband i would buy from him, he told me i just have it, the next day he brought it to me, can't ask for better than that, she died in 2001 of spine cancer and i still miss her so much:hit
