The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

One of them we'll have to assess whether she can escape. Her sister has arthritis so she barely makes it up on the bed these days, and our deaf cat is also half blind (she had really bad cat flu as a kitten - she was dumped at DH's work in a horrible condition) so unless she's got something solid and familiar to aim for she won't jump up. We are using waratahs for the posts and the mesh we've got is 6ft and it will have a bit of give so hopefully naughty Daisy won't feel the need to test it out. :fl

You guys might not call them 'waratahs' - maybe Y posts?
You are so kind to take such good care of your kitties! They might not even want to go out anyway, if they live inside. Hope Daisy will go with the plan! 6 feet should be high enough to confine them.

I'm thinking waratahs are indeed Y posts.

Apparently they are called waratahs here because that was the Aussie brand that originally made them for our market (I looked it up).

Our babies are so cute and have discovered that having a cheek and chin scritch is a lovely thing. Then they'll give us a little groom back. The older one is wanting to move around quite a bit now, getting very interested in the world. They still aren't too keen on the big eye that stares at them and makes funny noises (our camera) though. They are 17 and 19 days old today.

We always take the adults treats such as brown rice, crispy salad noodles, cornflakes and puffed rice cereal. The hen who is the chicks mother is so funny because she will pick up the treat she wants then carry it to the nearest shoe, where she places her treat and eats it, using the shoe as her own personal plate. It's amazing how unique their personalities are. They all have their funny quirks.

They are getting cuter every time you post a new picture! Looks like you might have a pied pearl chick too!
