I get to go washing machine shopping this weekend. I started a load at 6:00 and it’s now finally ringing out. It’s shot out 3 codes. It’s 5-1/2 years old and has had a couple repairmen already. Extended warranty was up in September. I want to find the simplest machine there is with an agitator.
 
Sadly, as we old folk say constantly "they don't make things like they used to". My last washing machine went for 25 years. I hear now 7-8 is all you should expect.

Well that is WAY better than last year when you had no suppliers!
 
Just when you think they can't get any cuter. So far we can't see any more missing feathers. The birds will be a bit stressed - they had to cope with 2 trucks backing down the driveway today right by their aviary, one to take away the big skip bin (not sure if that's what it would be called in the USA) and one to take away most of the furniture that we donated to the City Mission. Hopefully it will do someone some good. Our mattress is now the couch so that will be fun. At least we still have the computer desk.

Dottie, our other hen is rather jealous of all the attention the babies are getting and sits on my chest to ensure she gets some love. She just wants to sit and sleep and maybe have a head scratch. She'd sit on me all day if I could stand to stand there all day. Her mate, Neon, is scared of the babies and doesn't want to be anywhere near them. It may be that he doesn't want to upset their mother, but it is funny.
