The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

yes dd, altho at first she talked about "moving", she thought she had a choice but husband couldn't take it any more and i was caught in the middle but she pitched one too many fits with me and i just couldn't take it any more either, the last time we were over 500 miles into the trip when son called and said she fell and now wouldn't get up out of her bed, told him to call the ambulance and we turned around and drove the 500 miles back, went to the hospital and she started on me, it was my fault she was in the hospital, that i called them to take her, tried talking to her but she just wouldn't believe me so i called the manager at the nursing home to take her when she was discharged, she picked her up and thats where shes at now, finally turned back into my sister by the time we got back from florida( melissa told us to go, she didn't want us to come until shirley settled down and got used to the place, big guilt trip ,still fill so guilty about not taking care of her but just can't do it :hit

That must have been so hard Sharron. Don't beat yourself up :hugs

Morning Folks :frow

Good morning Bob & all!

Good morning all. It’s supposed to be nice the next two days and then our snowstorm hits. We had a dumping on April 14th last year. I was so hoping we were done.
I got an unexpected call from my old Subway boss last night. He heard about me quitting my Para job and thought maybe I’d like to work for him again.(I wondered how fast that would fly around town:hmm)I told him no and reminded him of the reasons why I left and he understood.

Good morning! :frow

Morning everyone! :frow

thats awfully hard not to debby when growing up my sister always took the time to do things with me, shes 13 yrs older than me and she always told momma i was Her baby sister, i could ask her or tell her things i couldn't talk over with momma(very old fashioned and shy about things a young girl should know)

hope your a1c is good. Last time I had it done clinic nurse put in a machine and said 7 min. to get results. I don't think that is accurate. They have always had me fast before the test then it was a couple days to the result. Funny they still charge just as much.

It's hard to see right now, but its gonna do alot to keep your relationship healthy. She will always be your big sister, but you can't be like her mother. You can care about her, but taking care or her is a whole different thing, especially if she becomes angry or unreasonable. Let the nursing home staff be "the bad guys" you can then be the sympathetic ear, and take her out to dinner etc. You will be the "good guy" then.

You are not responsible for your sister, I’m sorry you had to go through that. :hugs
