Yup, we're sharing with Sean. But this one is weird, instead of following the normal track it went in a circle, it's now over northern Florida with it's tail in the gulf and also building off the great lakes.

Hello everybody! It's your absent friend here. I'm limited to the data I get on my cell phone plan so I can't visit much, plus life has been busy working out this caravanning thing (and figuring out where I put everything - I still can't find some stuff which is kind of ridiculous in such a small space).
Every 2 days we have to empty the toilet cassette which means a trip to one of the local beaches where there is a dump station by the public toilet. It's a beautiful beach and the kids love having a swim. It's such a treat to be able to walk barefoot along it too. We have collected many beautiful shells and even found a couple of quartz rocks.

Our baby cockatiels are gorgeous and Dawn continues to be confident and cheeky. Dusk takes a minute to warm up but is getting more confident.

Dawn loves preening our hair. They all love my jacket too - zippers are great for chewing.

And here's Dusk hanging out with Mum.
We've been battling wasps recently. DH has gone to get more wasp spray. He's already sprayed 10 paper wasp nests and found a German wasp nest in the ground which will need a powder to kill it. Introduced wasps are a huge problem here and it's estimated that the weight of wasps in NZ exceeds that of all our native animals put together.
Let me know if I've missed anything important and link me in if there's anything I should know.

evening seanAfternoon everyone!
Becca, Bob and everyone else in the storms path, be safe and keep a 'weathered eye' to the horizon. This storm was very unpredictable here in Texas....but that's nothing new for storms here anyway! It urged to put down a tornado in every county it passed through....and did in Franklin and Spring...EF3![]()

Wow, Dusk and Dawn have really 'grown up' from your last post. Beautiful birds.
Ugh, wasps...I hate them and bees too! I'm so allergic to the ones we have here, let alone the ones y'all have...probably would kill me if they stung me.
Don't be a stranger...miss your pics and stories!![]()
It's bad for me if they sting me anywhere, especially my neck or head...that requires a visit to a hospital.Speaking of bees - our 1st day here DS managed to get stung by a bee just under one of his ears! I'm allergic (just a lot of localised swelling around the sting so only an issue if I am stung on the neck) but thankfully DS doesn't react badly. Poor kid though!
How's your hip treating you? Hope it's slowly getting better.
can walk a little without a cane or crutch but have a terrible limp, plus, don't want to reinjure it by not walking with assistance.
yeah, i'm just waiting til its a little darker so i can move three chickens for the night, then its a nice cool shower and early bedDoing great today....just 'hanging out' and taking it easy.
