then it must have just attached, they have to "backwash" to give you lymes and not all ticks give lyme disease, just certain types of ticks

Thanks that makes sense. I don’t think it was attached long enough and I am feeling much better today. I was just paranoid I guess haha

And yeah I know but we have tooons of deer ticks here. I think it’s cause we have so many wooded areas and fields here and a lot of deer.

It is a Prius Prime, I bought it after my 2009 Prius was totalled (people seem to LOVE to smash into us). EPA rated for 25 miles on electric though that it temperature dependant (and it supposedly will do 83 MPH in electric though I'll never find out). Currently I can go over 30 miles but I think in winter, I'll be lucky to get 20 miles. Car range electric and gas is 630 miles (per EPA). The 813 miles on the last tank included 230 miles of 50 MPH down to 'small town stops' at 64 MPG coming home from Maine. My USUAL driving is 1 trip per week down to Burlington (about 60 miles round trip so about half in electric, half gas) and shorter trips in town up here that I can do all electric.

Actually far fewer things to go wrong. Electric motors have been around forever and require no maintenance. No starter, no alternator, no exhaust system, no oil. Basically it is only an electric motor, transmission (forward and reverse), brakes and a charging circuit.

How do you know, maybe he would have made it to 100! :p

Wow that is awesome!! My brother has a Prius but I’m not sure what type and I don’t think it’s a hybrid but idk. Maybe they all are? Never seen him use the electric part though. But anyway, other brother got it pretty cheap in Texas a few years ago with not that many miles on it and used it out there a bit while he was out there then drove it back. Now other brother has been using it since and going to and from work and stuff. He really likes it. He wasn’t sure at first, wasn’t his ideal car, and I think he kind of had this view or like a stereotype or something of a lot of Prius drivers and I think was possibly embarrassed but now he’s constantly telling all of us we need to get a Prius. :lau I never really wanted one, like driving a go kart to me lol and not that comfortable but after reading all this maybe I need to get one after all ha maybe just like the bigger one.

Oh wow didn’t realize that. That’s awesome. And makes sense. I guess I was just thinking of like the computer system and electronics since a lot is probably controlled by that? And probably expensive to fix or replace? But a simpler motor sounds better.
