Yes they’re from my pair:

I have no idea why they’re so dark. :idunno
That's like me... I just hatched some buckeye chantecler crosses. Chanteclers are white, buckeyes are red and I've got a bunch of black and grey chicks :idunno

You have to be careful of drowning though because of the lack of oils at first right? I thought most people waited a few weeks?? But idk if that’s required.

But I do know you’re supposed to dry them off with a towel or blow dry or something right? Like completely?
That's more when it's really cold. Their fuzz doesn't insulate them like feathers do, so they can get chilled easily.

@The Farmers' Daughter

Loved your tour of the house... As a work flow person... I am always lookin at things... Even if you move that refrigerator flush with the door way.... How are you going to get into that lower cabinet by the Stove?

The work triangle is Optimal but Not necessary... So I look for instances where you have to retrace steps.

Almost there...
Awesome!
I have enjoyed so much watching your house blossom! From the time it was moved onto the property; looking out of the windows to see the snow, and now the rich, green grass; hearing the satisfaction in your voice as you take us on the tours - it’s been a joy to share all of it! I am really liking the dishwasher setup with so many cabinets above it, instead of small cabinets and empty air! I’d throw my microwave on that first deep shelf and free up so doggone much space in my poorly-laid-out mobile home kitchen! :bow

One thing Ken and I both noticed as we got a look at your bathroom was your reflection in the mirror! Holy smokes! You look just like me - we could be sisters!!!
I thought she looked like you also.

I've heard that ducks(I guess any age) should have a ramp leading to pool and one on the inside of pool to help them out. I know they can fly from water, I've seen them do that on ponds out here.

I’ve heard of having a ramp leading in but never heard of one to get out. Sounds like a good idea though. Although probably more so for little babies.

Ah okay. I thought it was all the time. That makes sense though. Thanks!

The counter to the left of the stove is not a cabinet, just a front for the countertop. We moved the fridge today & it still looks awful. Even though we had the appliances before the house was even gutted, our contractor put the range hood in first. As it's a gas stove, we can't move the stove over. Grrrrr. I'm not a happy camper. Now I'll probably hire someone to move the range hood over so that I can move the stove.

Are you my mother?

Well, never let it be said that when Blooie goes out for a bit of an adventure she goes halfway.
Nope, not our @Blooie !
As usual, I hope you'll forgive me but ...
:gig :lau :gig

A cool story to tell for the ages.
Yep, another story for that book she's going to write ;)

Marlin never did the dangerous stuff.
Yet he died first! COULD be due to the fact that he was a lot older than Jim I suppose.

I already have it! Gimme my shotgun!
First time you had something to REALLY grouse about!

It’s Photo Glut from Blooie Week!
Katie got to see mooses, er meese, er moosi!

His mouth fell open when I told him it happens every time we do this sort of thing.
And he now has a new found appreciation for you!

Almost there...
step by step.

I think my broody has enough eggs now.
Um, yeah I would say so. She must be an overachiever.

I always thought they needed a "runway" before they could take off but just the other day I watched a wild mallard take off from the pond behind the barn ... vertically. Harrier jump jet take off then horizontal flight.

I had the same question. I don't see how it could ever fit even if the stove is moved to the left. Not my business of course Michelle but maybe a smaller fridge would be better. That thing looks huge. Maybe you could put it on casters and roll it out of the way when you need to get to the counter and then back when you want to use the doorway
