no sure. It was just hanging out near their coop for a while. Maybe it’s lonely? Not sure if it’s a male or female though. I think female but idk. But all my birds are females too. So maybe she is just looking for some friends ha

You DID try hard enough!!! Do not beat yourself up over this any more, I imagine you have been doing it for decades. IF there were a 'cure' for her illness, don't you think she would have found it by now? And if there were why do you think it would have been around 30+ years ago and you just missed it? I can't even imagine the pain you feel but you didn't do anything that caused her mental illness. And yes, at some point you have to protect your emotional self.

Thanks, Bruce. But there’s a big difference between “beating” myself up and “wondering”. I put away the whip many years ago....didn’t accomplish anything and took far too much energy. The questions will always be there, though. That’s a good thing, because always questioning has helped me more than anything to help with Katie’s and Kendra’s disabilities. Frankly, I hate to think where they’d be had I simply accepted their diagnosed deficits without constantly challenging the expert opinions and trying things on my own. I say that with no arrogance - we all know that Jenny just nods her head and accepts what she’s told by the doctors for the most part. But she does also follow my lead and implements the sometimes unorthodox things I’ve tried with the girls. So see? No whip! And see why you’d be the perfect person to go beat up Debby’s nasty employee if she comes back? Man you’re tough when you get protective!
