G'morning all :frow

@sharron you're supposed to see tomato worms with a black light? I had no idea! Those little b's are hard to see in full sun so in the dark? I dunno, is the light supposed to make them stand out?
morning im:frow
yes, suppose to, they're suppose to light up irdescent, but can't prove it by me but all the garden people on youtube say it works so i bought a black flashlight to try, didn't find any this morning with my "naked" eye either altho i did see a couple more tomato plants that looked like they had been chewed. but maybe the birds picked them off early in the mornings for me, a mocking bird was fussing at me this morning, maybe he did it:idunno
BUT i did get bit right above my ankle by a nasty, hoping i don't swell up so bad i get sick and have to go get a shot

Good morning everyone!

Sharron, keeping fingers crossed you don't get any aftereffects from being bit :fl

Hope you all have a great Saturday.
:frow You have a great day Debby. Crab Apple Jelly and Crab Apple Sauce are in the near future for us.:D

thank you, i seem to be ok so far, swelling some but not enough to make me sick:fl

Mmm, those sound good!
I wanted to wait another week to let the sugars more fully develop, but the tree has decided it's done, so we'll gather everything we can from the ground and then pick the difference to get between 12 and 18 pounds of apples.

That's a lot of crab apples! Have you ever tried crab apple butter? My mom used to make that when our trees would have a good year.

Yup. I have several pints in the cupboard. Also some pear butter as well. I'm hoping to get enough pears this year to make jelly as well. They're still too small to can. Those should be ready in a couple, three weeks.
