G'morning all. Late today. We just got back from the dog park, the puppies are nice and tired.

I watered before the sun came up and took this snap of the artichoke, @N F C it's just starting to leaf out again

Well, kitty is none too happy with me, but I managed to do all 3 of these. Ear rinse, eye rinse, and even brushed her teeth and got some good scrubs in. She let me do it all and didn’t fight me at all. I just got on the floor and held her between my legs. Started with eyes, then was gonna do ears but decided to do teeth next cause I knew she’d wanna shake and take off after ears and didn’t want to get that on the toothbrush plus wanted to brush without fight, so brushed her teeth next, then finally ears. I was right, she shook and took off after but before that she did let me finish the second ear with no fuss. She’s not too happy right now though. But she also didn’t take off and hide like usual which is a plus. Just to the other room and she did let me approach and pet her a couple times and take these pics so I’d say she’s not too too mad haha

We had a nice relaxing night. My parents went to the Cape for the night so it was just me and I let her upstairs and she even slept in my room a lot of the night and morning. Not directly on my bed like she used to but right at the foot of it on an ottoman I have there. and she sat in my lap a lot last night and let me hold her, both times purring like crazy, and she even came and laid on my chest last night while I fell asleep. I felt soooo bad though because I was so relaxed I started dozing off and did that jump thing you sometimes do when falling asleep and my arm twitched, and I accidentally smacked her with my hand luckily she didn’t take off though and let me pet her and apologize and she seemed fine but she did leave shortly after that. Felt bad because we were both so relaxed and almost asleep and I think I startled her. she did come back this morning though. She would leave and then come back but when I woke up the second time (woke up earlier and fell back asleep) she was sound asleep on the ottoman. I actually woke her up but she’s so cute, she woke up and wanted more attention then jumped on the bed for a bit

Anyway, I think she was happy I let her up. Think we were both a bit lonely haha

She likes hanging out in the basement a lot and even when she’s up here, I don’t normally let her in my room, but last night I did both. And she’s so funny, she knew when I had gotten home from the store and was scratching at the door and meowing/crying to be let up haha the door for some reason was shut so that’s why she didn’t just run up aha anyway, she was thrilled when I finally opened it.

They say cats don’t care about people or whatever like dogs do but I don’t think that’s true. Luna acts like a little dog and even when she’s not downstairs, has always run to the door or at least the room I’m in to greet me haha

Anyway, she’s back in the room now. Clearly I’m forgiven.

Got a little bit of rain last night. it's so dry I could hide my pickup in the cracks.

I usually resist well, but when they reduce pullet chicks to $1, and I need a buddy for a single chick, what can you do?

Good morning! I’ve got Kendra today so any plans I had are out the window. Jenny is now working 2 jobs and there are times when she leaves for job number 2 before either 1) Kenny gets home (weekends) or 2) Kendra gets out of school at 3. I wouldn’t mind so much if she’d let me know ahead of time, but once again she called me at almost 10:00 last night to ask. It’s not like she doesn’t know their work schedules two weeks at a time, for crying out loud! She’ll hear about it today when she drops Kendra off this morning. She figures now that Ken and I done with Grand Lodge, I’m going back from “never available” to “always available” like before. Nope. Not gonna happen. She was bad about doing this before Ken’s Grand Master year and she’s slipping right back into it. Last thing I wanted to do this morning were the floors, but when Kendra’s coming I like to have them freshly vacuumed and mopped because she crawls everywhere.

Hope everyone is feeling better....Diva, Sean, Cap, Sharron, GAC, Kelsey....

Planned to finish stripping Fiona’s coat but don’t see that happening! Stoopid dog just lays there and let’s me pull out her hair. She loves it. I was working on it for 3 hours on Friday and the only time she moved was when I’d take a break to rest my legs, hips, and back. Then she’d lift her head to stare at me until I resumed.

Aw sorry to hear that Blooie! Hopefully she will be a little more respectful and ask you ahead of time in the future. I am sure you love having her but you also shouldn’t be expected to just drop everything and/or be a full time babysitter. My cousin used to be bad about that. Not sure if she still is but as soon as my uncle retired she would frequently just drop the kids off since he was suddenly always free! He loves them but it gets to a point where it’s just taking advantage of the free baby sitter! Hopefully you guys can find a compromise that works.

And thank you, I am feeling much better. I think a little sleep and relaxation helped haha I slept really well and much later than I have been lately which is good because I was getting up early and not being able to fall back asleep. I do think I need new pillows though and maybe an allergy pill, a bit stuffed up and sore this morning, but no migraine at least. Had a very slight headache at first but I took some sinus clearing drop things and feel much better haha it’s gone now.

And awww. Gator used to love being brushed and just flop on his side and now Frank is the same way or he’ll go on his back. It’s cute but I’m always like “how am I supposed to brush you if you’re laying down!?” Cause you can get one side but how do you get the other?

OMG I would not be able to resist!! They had soooo many last night and mostly all pullets too! And I still have that broody so I seriously almost walked out with some haha but they’re still full priced, $3.49 for pullets or $2.49 for straight run which I wouldn’t do and their minimum is 6 which I don’t really have room for so I didn’t haha was gonna sell them later on but I know I’d get attached.

They had so many good breeds too though.

Usually it’s not breeds I’m interested in or it’s straight run but with those, every single breed I would be interested in and most were pullets.

I'm out of the kitchen now except for special events like the tournament we had yesterday. When that last employee decided to suddenly quit, we couldn't keep the restaurant open with just me and my gal "A".

Oh, and it now seems the one that quit is trying to drum up a case based on "discrimination". That's funny! She wasn't treated any differently about all the food & drink she was consuming than any other employee...it's just that DH spelled it out in no uncertain terms. Some people!

She is a lucky kitty to be taken care of so well. I love hearing about animals being taken care of. First blooie with her big dog, now your kitty.
