The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Sean! I was thinking about you over the weekend. My friends mom fell and broke the neck of her femur and had to drag herself inside to a phone to call 911 :thI can't imagine the pain that must have caused!
Sorry to hear that, IM :hugs
When I fell, I didn't feel it break, it was sorta painful landing on my hip though, the second time it broke just walking, I felt and heard it break, shatter actually...it was extremely painful. Then I had to crawl out of the house (about 100 yards) to get to my phone that was in my pickup. Wasn't a very fun day! :(

G'morning all!

I couldn't make it fit and read it all, or when I zoomed it became fuzzy :(

Hi RJ

Hi DMC

Aw darn. :(

I will try to type it later then. I didn’t realize it would be so unreadable. :(

I guess now I gotta finish it. :D

Or maybe I could do a dramatic reading. :D :lau

Good morning everyone

We knew Pip and Bam Bam were in the house but couldn't find Opie for quite some time. I was getting pretty worried he had followed that crazy wild one out the window. But Opie eventually came out of hiding the next morning. He's been sticking close by me since. Very relieved he didn't leave the house!

How's work going for you?

Oh wow good he didn’t leave!

Can't "like" that at all!

These stories remind me of when my grandma fell down her basement stairs. She laid down there with a broken hip until the next day when the mailman wondered why she hadn't picked up the mail from the previous day. Thankfully, he knew her and when he didn't get a response from calling her name, he went inside and found her.

I am attending a Native American Pow Wow soon and may meet up with another favorite BYCER. I do wonder if wearing blue jeans (wear them daily-even in summer) would be disrespectful. I would wear a blouse, if t-shirts are a bad idea (no slogans on them). Or long sleeved tops if sunburn is a concern and wide brimmed sunhat, for same reason.

I do hope to find real Native American crafts I can purchase, with no "made in china," tags.

Wish Redbone would be in attendance but, there aren't any musicians attending. :(

Oh man that makes me cringe! :hugs

Seriously? That must have been terrible for her. I hope you baked the mailman some cookies!

Being just a kid at the time, I didn't think of it. My dad was good about doing things like that (the acknowledgement part, not the baking part) so he probably did something for the mailman. And it was the tiny little town he grew up in, so he knew everyone.

Grandma pulled through it all fine and went on to live a good many more years.
