Nah, you buy it then it calls to you so you HAVE to eat it. Then get more for Halloween.
Of course that stuff probably has a shelf life of a rock.

I did, many years ago, buy Halloween candy in September. Must have been working too hard and stressed out. They put the candy out the last week of September and somehow I thought it was the end of October (why else would the candy be out??) and I wasn't even close to ready for the candy snatchers! Panic!
Never got caught by that again.

Yeah it’s definitely ridiculous!!

And OMG! How long did it take you to figure it out!? Did you get the whole house set up!?
 
Oh, I had it figured out by the time I got home. Would have been really bad if I'd carved up a pumpkin and all. That is about the most "set up" I've ever done though the girls did put up some fake web and bats on the enclosed porch (where the pumpkin sat and the cherubs were fed) a couple of years. Don't even bother where we live now, houses pretty far apart, no trick or treaters.

That’s good!! Cause yes that would have been pretty bad :lau

And yeah we usually don’t do any decorating either and don’t bother with candy usually cause we’ve never gotten many either. Our driveway is really long and it’s also wooded and dark so I think people are either scared and/or don’t realize there’s a house back there LOL

Plus there’s the rest of the neighborhood (lots of condos/townhomes) and the street/houses behind us so there’s plenty of other, easier houses and candy to get to lol plus now there’s a new neighborhood/development too next to the other one so there’ll probably be even less reason to go to ours now.

Also a lot of kids go to this certain street in our town that’s sort of like the party/trouble maker/fun spot. I was never allowed to go :lau think my brother did a few times ha obviously this street is older kids/teens, like middle school, high school, so probably shouldn’t have said kids haha

Anyway, we used to get our friends coming to our house when they lived on the street behind us and we used to all go trick or treating together, we had a few friends back there, but they all moved away :hit

But they were the only trick or treaters we ever got haha

I’ve always toyed with the idea of setting up some lights and webs and spooky decorations leading down the driveway to get people to come down or leaving a bowl at the end of the driveway but I much prefer eating the candy myself anyway. :lau :oops:

Although this year a new family moved in behind us so who knows where they will go ha

Yeah, that’s what my mom said last year when I thought of it. You’re both probably right, sadly. And hmm that’s a good idea!! Hadn’t thought of that! Although I think I might be a bit lazy to do that :lau :oops: or at least too much of a hermit lol but maybe I could do it at least for a little bit.
