DMSO like Sean says a little goes a long way. Came out in the sixties or so. but not for liniment use much later. If it gets on skin you taste garlic in your mouth almost instantly.

As a kid growing up on our ranch, I used alot of horse care products on myself :lau one of the best 'stuff' was Ferox, a sulfa drug, powder form...put it on a cut and in a few days was healed over, couldn't even see a scar.
