The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

But OF COURSE today is the only day of the year they eat candy for breakfast, right??
:thGotta wonder about some parents. Maybe, just MAYBE, candy isn't the best "nutrition" for breakfast. I could see sending 1 piece in their lunch, certainly none of it before lunch.
I know right, but the parent's I have are really only kids themselves or as I say "babies raising babies" :(

Sue, you deserve a restful, quiet weekend. Make Bob take you out to dinner! (Sorry Bob :gig )
I like that idea  we have to go to town tomorrow anyway so it might happen :fl

Dad and I are going to see Guy now. He’s never seen him and I want to see him again. I think he’s been adopted already and has someone coming to get him this weekend. :hit

I kind of wish we could have adopted him but just not feasible atm.

But at least we get to see him before he goes.

I wasn’t going to go but decided to.

It might be nice to meet his new family Kelsey. That way you'll know he's gone to a nice home.

That’s a good point! I don’t think they will be there tonight though. I think they are picking him up Sunday. Or maybe tomorrow. Not sure, going to ask when we go. We are just visiting him because my dad has seen the pictures and wants to meet him before he goes to his new home. My mom does too but she’s working today :hit

I know DB & SIL are meeting the new owners at least and helped with going through the applications and screening people so that’s a good thing.

I am sure they wouldn’t let him go to a bad home. :)

He seems to be adjusting well even though he hasn’t been there long. Lots of pictures and videos of them all together. :)

They were probably pretty wired at work then!
I wonder if there is a regional difference in when people have baby #1. Way back it used to be very common for that to be 18 or even younger. Seems now that (mostly) people are waiting until their late 20s if not later.

Kelsey - Pay your brother off. He can tell the "adoption agency" (SPCA?) that these people are NO WAY responsible enough to adopt the dog. ;)

:lau I wish!! It’s the same rescue group they adopted one of their dogs from. I forget which one but not a big well known one.

I also think if anyone was going to keep him, they probably would know :lau

They’ve gotten quite attached already and SIL seas crying yesterday about it. I guess she’s had him in her office all work working with her and he’s kinda become her coworker. Plus they seem to be getting along much better and are so cute and he’s so chill and loving and kinda rounds the pack out. But 3 dogs is a lot and the new owner seems like they will be a great owner based on what she was saying about her. She comes to visit tomorrow morning and if all goes well she will take him home right then. :hit but also :fl :love

That's why I don't think I would be able to foster an animal. It would be great until you have to give them up. That would be tough.
