The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That's why I don't think I would be able to foster an animal. It would be great until you have to give them up. That would be tough.

I agree. Can't have an animal like that without getting attached.

Yeah, I don’t think I could ever do that either!! But she wants to help other dogs just like they helped Libby and Franklin which I think is great :love

She gets saddened by all the dogs being put down in the south :hit

But yeah, they are attached already and it hasn’t even been a week. They did say if they had had to keep him another week they probably would have told them they couldn’t give him up :lau

Cause they’ve been improving every day. They get along great in the house now. Still some issues outside but nothing serious (he just gets a bit rough and Franklin gets scared and snaps at him and Libby just plain doesn’t want to play and isn’t shy about telling him LOL) but they probably would have worked it out if he was there longer. He really was starting to fit in so nicely :hit

I can’t imagine having a foster long term. I just saw a dog online that has been in a foster home like 5 months :hit and there was another a few months ago that I think had been years and was adopted by his vet (he had a lot of medical issues I guess and was in a lot) :hit :love

That was a sweet moment but it would be so sad!!

At least they only had him a week.

I thought about raising a puppy for one of the service or guide dog organizations but I don’t think there is any way I could ever do that. :hit

You get a little tiny puppy and raise it for like the first year of its life and then have to give it back! :hit

Shove him under a bed, maybe they won't be able to find him in the morning.

The vet probably had 2 choices, give the people free service or take the dog. You've probably seen a vet bill or two just for regular check things and no problems. I'm sure that both Rascal and Christofur would have been euthanized for lack of ability to pay the vet bills in many families.

:lau I thought about dog napping him!!

I think the vet just like gel in love with him. He’s a very sweet dog I guess. And of course the vet has the experience to deal with his issues. But yeah they probably also couldn’t pay anymore. Idk. I think he was in a foster or shelter or something like that. I think they had kind of just accepted that he’d likely just be a permanent foster because of his issues but then the vet fell in love :love

And aww glad they found you then!!
