achy... Fell down in the bathroom night before last. My son took the door off the bath room so I could try to get up on my own... He tried to lift me up but couldn't get a grip on my arms well enough. So I insisted he call the fire department. took three guys to stand me back up.

Once up on my feet I told them I was fine. and went to sit down in the living room. We have a recliner that will stand you up if you want to get up. haven't told any one but I hit my back on the toilet when I went down and its sore.

Good news is though it fixed another back issue I was having.... go figure. I reallly need to make an appointment with my chiropractor.

Bathroom door is still off and I am afraid he wont put it back on. in case I fall again... I don't like it off.

its 5:30... and I am up to take some Tylenol.

Sorry about your fall. So far I have been able to get up when I fall. It must be misery to not be able to get up.

Deb, sorry to hear about the fall. No wonder you're achy, that would do it to anyone. Take care of yourself today and be careful!

Sorry about your fall. So far I have been able to get up when I fall. It must be misery to not be able to get up.

The cute strong fireman made up the difference... But Yeah... Thank goodness the bathroom at my house is much bigger I could lay flat out on the floor comfortably There is a wrought iron bench seat for sitting on to get dressed. Here I have to sit on the toilet. Plus its low enough that I could get a good grip on it and lever myself up.

The shower is just that .... A shower Not a tub... right now I am terribly afraid to climb over the bathtub to take a shower. I have one leg that is weak and once partway in I have to pray i can get a toe over the shower door rim.

But yeah I was just getting ready for bed...

We're already at our high temp for the day at 34* which seems weird. Possible snow showers before noon.

We have just enough staff with this new hire coming Monday. The other day 2 called in and then there’s no back up. Thank goodness the kids were having a good day! February 3rd-14th our director will be gone so I am working all days both weeks.

Hey did you ever hear back from Blooie around Christmas? I was thinking of her yesterday.

VERY sadly no, not a thing I had really hoped that giving her my address (on the return address label), phone number and email she would at least let me know she was OK. I've also not seen anything "bad" with a Google search though so that is positive.

That answers my question I was wondering if part of the problem was not enough room to get yourself into a position where you could get back up. Maybe some strategically placed handholds could be useful. I hope you heal quickly.
