Sorry! It wasn’t done to scare, just to give me some much needed time to figure out what was wrong and learn to cope. Just got the definitive diagnosis on January 31. The uncertainty and being so tired and sick, yet unable to tell anyone anything because I had no answers was tough.
The chickens are doing great. Eggs are still small, but I’m happy so far. I really like the Swedish Flower Hens. Bright, cute, curious and calm....just the way I like ‘em. this is my first time with them. The little Speckled Sussex was the first to lay an egg. She has a thing for Ken. As soon as he goes out there she’s at his feet and isn’t content until he picks her up. He carries her around while he does chores. If he puts her down because he needs two hands for something, she all but trips him. Don’t have recent pictures, but gave a few at 18 weeks. I’m anxious for the Cream Legbar to lay. Want to see how blue her eggs turn out.
