The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

wow deb, glad you're ok, what happened to you sounds horrific
if you ask, wouldn't a neighbor try to help you with the heavy stuff?
be careful and safe and like i said, glad your ok
They were having company and I didnt want to impose. It was going to be a messy job I knew it. I tried winching the tank out but what I was using was inadequeate. but I was able to get it about six inches over the bumper and I started scooting it back and forth and forrward an inch or so.

When i got it near to the center of gravity I was going to step a side and give it one more scootch. Unfortunately I didnt take into account that the water was sloshing... It changed the center of gravity right when I was going to step aside. I still had both hands on the lip of the tub and was looking for the seat on my scooter. Water pushed forward and down we went.

If I was at home and didnt have the little trailer behind me Id have been able to get out on my own. of course If I were at home Id have backed the truck up to the pipe corral tied the tub off with rope and driven out from under it.

No anchors here in the city.

Hi, Deb!!! Welcome back! I didn’t try to catch up either.....I was gone from late August or September to a couple of weeks ago. It was close to 6 months, give or take a couple of weeks.

So sorry you got hurt - and slimed at the same time. Ewww, that water had to stink! Any idea when you’ll be making the actual move?

A little good news.....my labs from yesterday are up on the portal. My creatinine sneaked up another point (not good) but my GFR didn’t go down. It stayed at 27, which is what it was on January 31. What I wanted to see was the reverse - creatinine going down and GFR going up, but I’ll take what I can get. Haven’t heard from the dietitian yet - she was supposed to call me to set up the appointment but I’m assuming she’s still waiting for Medicare authorization on the referral. I see the nephrologist on March 5, so I’d like to be able to tell him that the renal diet is already in the works. I believe I’ll leave Captain Defender home when I see the dietitian. He’s too crabby.

The chickens have kicked it into high gear here. Glad I’ve only got 11 instead of the 23 birds I used to have. Can’t remember what I did with all those eggs then, given the way these are taking over. Since I was chickenless for 2 years, my customer base has moved on. Not much market for pullet eggs anyway. Kendra won’t touch eggs.,.and you can’t fool her by trying different ways to cook them. Cakes, cookies....those are different. Eggs as a meal? Nope! Kenny and Jenny won’t eat the ones we have here. She cracked one with a big old blood spot in it and that was it for her. Her gag factor kicked in and she was done! I can eat the whites but not the yolks....too much protein and phosphorous in the yolk. I boiled up 2 dozen older eggs and crushed them for the chickens, and I broke a few into Fee’s dish. She ain’t getting them again!! We were back in the bedroom, she was in the living room, and we could smell her! Believe me, everything is bigger with a Wolfhound!

We’re about halfway through emptying the office. my plan for today is to tackle the desk, which should take most of the day. His plan is to look busy while he pulls out and stashes stuff I have in the “toss” pile, I think. That’s been the pattern so far. Anybody want a jackelope?

Ok I been AWOL.... Hi Blooie glad to see you are back..

Back has been giving me fits and other things going on. My appetite is gone and what ever I eat makes my gut hurt. Got my Truck running and am working on cleaning it out. After being parked for two years I had to buy new batteries for it. When I found out i had cancer I parked the truck and just never drove it again.

In order to drive the truck to get Fuel I had to get The 110 gallong stock tank out of the back. No one was around to help so I tried to do it myself. Dropped it on top of me it had about a foot of Rain water in the bottom. It threw me backwards and I fell up against the utility trailer which is mostly angle iron and expanded mesh. Pinned me by the toe only thank goodness but I couldnt get up anyway. And of course all that mosquitoy algae filled nasty water went on ME. My Walker took some of the impact and I have a wheel print on my hip.

Neighbors came over and extracted me and helped me get up. Walker still works but the hinge point is warped. The walker is rated for 400 pounds.

so big toe Cheese grated a bout a foot stripe off my back. and left hand where I tried to break my fall.

Back was hurting before hand... not because of the fall. It always hurts but sometimes more than others. I am consolidating for the move. Canning Jars empty and or filled in wire racks now in the living room instead of the garage. House has a more constant temperature for the filled Jars.

I am ordering the wire shelving for the house probably next week. Four Racks 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide by 18 inches deep NSF rated. And 8 Wire shelf drawers. All in all should be enough. Oh and they have wheels too so I can move them about. Price from a Restaurant supply store is half of Amazon. They have to ship ground Freight. So I am biting the bullet and buying all that I will need. even at 150 for shipping they beat Amazon by far.

I am sorting and packing clothes in Vacuume bags then they will go into moving boxes. There is going to be a big delivery at Good will in my future. I arrived here with only the clothing on my back and a change in a bag. Expecting to go home and get more. But it didnt work out that way. I wound up over twelve years buying what I needed and As I got bigger buying all new.

Now I need to check the old stuff to see if I can get it on. Right now I have three pairs of jeans two pairs of stretch Leggings. that all fit. for now. And A boat load of T shirts that can be taken in. Too pretty to give up. But I may do something with them.

Going to bring the horse trailer up soon as well. I can pack it with alot of the stuff thats already boxed in the garage. They were packed on and off as I lived here knowing I would be going home. All flip top plastic containers... And plastic shelving. The horse trailer is a two horse slant load so room enough in the back for two and a half horses. The tack room is room enough for a half horse as well. Those boxes can be stacked about four high or more if I put a sheet of ply wood between. Which i may do thus incorporating some building supplies in the process. Yep Yep.

I want to hire movers and will but I want to keep it a small box truck for the stuff that needs to go in the house Freezer, Fridge, Dishwasher, Tables and tool boxes. Most are still packaged and wont be opened till I get ready but all will need the muscle of two strong men and a good hand truck.

When I get established at home All access to the outside world, Phone, Tv, Internet will be by satellite connection. So until then I can access BYC Through the library for quick status notes.

Ok I wrote a book... Busy threads are hard for me to keep up on. Hope everyone is well.

Oh and I am designing a walking stick... more on that on my wire wrap thread. Soon as I can get the sketch scanned.

Hope you heal up quickly!
